Designed for enrolled students who have already acquired practical mastery of specific course materials, APEL C allows individuals to bypass redundant modules, directly reducing both tuition costs and overall graduation time. Unlike APEL A, which provides alternative access to university admission, APEL C specifically grants course exemptions for up to 30 percent of a program's total credit requirements. To earn credit, candidates must demonstrate at least 50 percent mastery of the Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs) for a targeted subject. This mastery is evaluated through either a formal Challenge Test, such as an exam or technical interview, or a structured Portfolio Submission containing verified workplace evidence like project documentation, certifications, code repositories, and employer letters. Once approved by academic assessors and university senate bodies, successful subjects receive a credit transfer status, satisfying the course requirements without impacting the student's overall GPA calculation.
