The UTeM ACCESS Open Access Programme provides an alternative pathway for individuals to pursue a full-time degree at UTeM on a self-funded basis. Designed for those who may not be eligible for government subsidies, this programme ensures that higher education remains accessible to a wider range of learners.

The Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) programme at UTeM ACCESS offers an alternative pathway into higher education by recognising an individual’s prior learning whether gained through work experience, training, or informal learning. APEL provides opportunities for those without the traditional academic qualifications to pursue diploma, bachelor’s, or postgraduate studies.

Through APEL, relevant skills and knowledge are formally assessed and accredited, enabling learners to fast-track their education and avoid repeating content they have already mastered. This recognition not only saves time and cost but also values the real-world expertise individuals have acquired over the years.

The UTeM ACCESS Offshore Programme is an international academic initiative that brings UTeM’s high-quality curriculum and teaching expertise to partner institutions abroad. Through this programme, students can pursue selected UTeM academic programmes in our Learning Centre (off-campus) while enjoying the same learning standards, assessments, and academic integrity practised at UTeM Malaysia. The offshore model allows students to gain globally recognised Malaysian qualifications.
